Tomodachi Social Community App ("Tomodachi," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy, security, and personal information of our users.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, protect, retain, share, and delete personal information when users access Tomodachi and its associated services.
Our services include social networking, creator activities, live streaming, community events, restaurant reservations through TomoHub, Storemadachi marketplace services, TomoStay accommodation services when available, and platform rewards.

Tomodachi uses identity verification to promote community safety, prevent impersonation, discourage fraudulent activity, and protect users and participating businesses.

The verification process may require users to submit a valid government-issued ID and a selfie.
Verification documents are stored in private, encrypted storage and are accessible only to authorized personnel who require access for legitimate verification, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Authorized administrators are subject to confidentiality obligations.
Verification information is not publicly displayed to other users.
Users will be informed of the purpose of identity verification before submitting sensitive documents, and appropriate consent will be requested where required.
Tomodachi does not sell government ID images, selfies, or verification records to advertisers or data brokers.

TomoPoints are platform rewards earned through eligible activities and are governed by the applicable TomoPoints Redemption Policy.
Tomodachi maintains transaction records to support account balances, investigate suspicious activity, address disputes, and protect the integrity of the rewards program.
Payment processing may involve Apple App Store, Google Play, and other applicable authorized payment service providers.
6. Data Security
Tomodachi implements technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss.
These measures include encrypted storage for sensitive verification documents, private storage access controls, and restricted administrative permissions.
Sensitive information is available only to authorized personnel with a legitimate operational purpose.
No electronic system can guarantee absolute security. Tomodachi continuously reviews its security practices and responds to identified risks.
7. Data Retention
Tomodachi retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for another lawful, documented retention purpose.
Account information may be retained while an account remains active.
Verification records may be retained where necessary to maintain the integrity of verified accounts, investigate fraud, protect users and business partners, address disputes, or comply with legal requirements.
Original verification documents, including IDs and selfies, are retained only while their continued retention is necessary and justified. Once no longer necessary, they will be securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with documented retention criteria and applicable law. A record of verification status may be retained separately when justified.
Retention decisions consider the sensitivity of the information, continuing account activity, pending transactions, unresolved disputes, fraud-prevention requirements, and legal obligations.
Information will not be retained indefinitely solely because it may potentially be useful for future services.
8. Account Deletion and Personal Data Removal
Users may request account deletion through the Tomodachi application or the designated account-deletion process on our website.
Following a valid deletion request, Tomodachi will delete the user's account and delete or anonymize associated personal information under its documented deletion procedures, subject to applicable lawful retention exceptions.
Certain limited records may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve pending transactions or disputes, prevent fraud, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Retained information remains protected and access-restricted and will be deleted when its retention purpose no longer applies.
Information in encrypted backups will be handled according to applicable backup retention and deletion procedures.
9. Information Sharing
Tomodachi may share limited information with service providers, payment processors, and participating business partners where necessary to deliver requested services.
For example, an affiliated restaurant may receive booking information necessary to process a reservation.
Original government ID images and selfies will not be routinely provided to business partners for ordinary reservation or purchasing activities.
Service providers handling personal information must be subject to appropriate confidentiality, privacy, and security obligations.

Subject to applicable law, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information.
Users may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, object to certain processing, or exercise other applicable privacy rights.

Tomodachi may review reported content, live-stream activity, suspicious transactions, and other activities that may violate platform rules.

Personal information obtained through moderation will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
12. International Processing
Tomodachi may provide services to users in the Philippines, Japan, and other supported regions.
Where personal information is processed or transferred internationally, Tomodachi will implement appropriate safeguards and comply with applicable data protection requirements.

Tomodachi is intended for users aged 18 years or older.
Accounts identified as belonging to individuals below the permitted age may be restricted or removed in accordance with applicable law.
